Where to find a template after you buy it, and what to do the first time you open it.
After checkout, every template you bought appears under My templates in your account. A template sold with a set-up, such as the Car Rental Tracker, shows a Set up button instead: it gives you your own Google Sheets copy and links its forms.
Each template opens on a Start here tab. It lists every input the template needs, the order to fill them in, and which cells are protected. Read it before you type anything else.
Steps
- 1Sign in and open My templates.
- 2Choose Download (.xlsx) for Excel, or Open in Google Sheets if the template supports Sheets.
- 3Open the Start here tab and follow the setup order it describes.
- 4Fill in the Setup or Assumptions tab first. The other tabs calculate from it.
